Transformative Urban Governance in the Developing World and the New Urban Agenda

THE ARCS Summit is an annual Conference by the Xavier Center for Urban Management and Governance, for sharing of research and experience on planning and management of human settlements and urbanization in India. Current understandings of the conditions of cities, towns and peripheries, and their functioning and development processes are very limited and partial, presenting a key challenge for effective intervention. By bringing together academics, professionals, students and policy makers to share their research and experience, the aim is to stimulate creation and facilitate exchange of knowledge on the development of safe, sustainable and just settlements.
