Open Dialogue #4: Social Lab/workshop Creative Methodologies
The IOS Platform for Open Cities would like to invite you to the fourth Open Dialogue session. The Open Dialogue sessions are monthly recurring events during which OCP community members present on-going research, moderate community discussions or organize interactive sessions. Open Dialogues take place on every first Wednesday of the month throughout the academic year.
In this session, dr.Daniel Sosnawill lead a workshop on multispecies methods for studying human-animal-waste relations that are part of our urban spaces. These methods include, among others, camera traps and collaborations with artists. An example of research on ravens and landfill can be found here: https://www.anthropology-news.org/articles/raven-polluters/.
Daniel Sosna is senior researcher in the Department of Ecological Anthropology, Institute of Ethnology, Czech Academy of Sciences. His current project Waste Regime at a Crossroad explores a transition to new forms of waste management.
Feel free to spread the word and share the invitation with your students as well. We are looking forward to seeing you on April 5th!
